FIFA 18, the world’s biggest football game has received huge update which is available on various platforms including PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 ahead of real World Cup 2018 kick-off in June – the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia update.
Now you can start the celebration of football’s biggest tournament with the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ content update. EA Sports’ FIFA 18 World Cup mode has been released on 29th May 2018 and is now available for free to those who own the FIFA 18 title. The update contains new World Cup 2018 game modes as well as refreshed versions of the FIFA modes from before. The update to paid game FIFA 18 is to add the FIFA World Cup’s 12 Russian stadiums and 32 participating national football teams.
Revealed in April, the World Cup 2018 release is different from the previous versions as EA Sports released a new expansion for FIFA 18 rather than a standalone FIFA World Cup 2018 game. EA Sports has released separate games for the World Cup competitions previously including the qualifiers – beginning with World Cup 98.
FIFA 18’s most popular mode, FIFA 18 Ultimate Team (FUT), is being overhauled into FUT World Cup mode. This mode enables you to build your own Ultimate Team using players from the 2018 World Cup based on tweaked FUT Chemistry and brand new FIFA World Cup Icons. In addition a new chemistry system provides different ways to link your favorite international players as nationalities and confederations will be the key chemistry components to consider when building and organizing your squad instead of clubs and leagues.
Electronic Arts presents an official graphic and broadcast package which extends to in-game cinematics for the mode. The update has been released via online download for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on 29th May 2018.
